For His Glory, Inc. was founded by Rev. Wesley G. Threat (emeritus) and Rev. Janice Dawson-Threat, PhD. in 1999, as an all-volunteer, community-based organization and was formalized as a Not-for-Profit agency in 2005. Our commitment to service is rooted deeply in our faith and love for the community. Our goal? To link community together through service and education, "Learning to do well". We guide youth toward becoming positive members of society and gaining the confidence and independence needed to realize and reach their full potential as learners in and out of school. We believe we are encouraging the leaders and achievers of tomorrow to do well.
We're community financed and community operated. With the support of local volunteers who care about children and their families, as well as the community, we provide service and support that is locally controlled and managed. Supportive services include academic support for youth, and life skills support to encourage the discipline to "learn to do well". Volunteers experience racial, social and economic diversity while participating in a welcoming and supportive environment that is provided not only for the youth, but their families as well.
One can become a partner, supporter, friend, and encourager of the organization by participating as a financial donor or sponsor to help sustain the organization work for today and for many tomorrows to come.
